Changes to my study programme

Well, I´m second year student of architecture. When I decided to study, I didn't know anything about the curriculum,  now that I study this and I'm here, I would say that I still have no idea what everything is 😂, because usually, the name of the subject is not reflected in what will be studied later. Probably, the subjects could have simpler and more specific names, to know what we will face later xD. For example, in this semester I have a subject called "Design and Realization" and just knowing that, I would not imagine that it is a subject  of only steel and reinforced concrete structure.

At the University, I think that on many occasions, and most especially during workshop 1 and 2, there were many times when the teachers went too far in terms of the load. This happens much more in the workshop that in other subjects, in those workshops they asked for deliveries from on day to the next and I remember that for the final delivery, it happened to me that the 3 days before, I went to sleep at 7 a.m. and woke up at 11 a.m. and on the last day I left without sleep, so I was awake for more than 48 hours.

Honestly, it was the most traumatic delivery until now xD, I don't want to repeat 

that experience again (I took the subject again with the same teacher the following semester xD). I think that many times teachers forget that we have more subjects and that we can't work as if their subject were the only one. On the other hand, I think that 5 years of career is a good duration, I would not like to spend much longer studying.

As for how it is teaching, I think I have had good teachers, some are more about handwriting and drawing and other are more about doing things with technology. I think that combining both forms of teaching is the best, because this way we can perform in all possible areas.

Finally, in terms of infrastructure, I think that the FAU is much better than before in terms of infrastructure, when I arrived there was no elevator or the collaborative room. The only thing I think is that before all the changes, the casino (if you can call it that) was much better, although more expensive, but we appreciate all the projects that have been done and are planned to be done.
